New Year

December 29, 2016
After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.
~ Philip Pullman.

A cold, frosty morning, so cold that I didn’t want to use my Panasonic camera. i still think that the iPhone camera does a wonderful job capturing blue skies.

Frost is magical

“Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Forget about those who don’t.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance, take it.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy,
they just promised it would most likely be worth it.”
~ Paulo Coelho

  1. I love my iPhone camera. When it’s as cold as it was outside this morning, my Nikon doesn’t work properly. I took a nice walk in the snow with my iPhone and I think (I hope) I got some nice shots. I haven’t had a chance to look at them yet because the battery died – it doesn’t last long in the cold. But I had fun! I love the blue and gold of your sky and sunlight, echoed in the frosty shrubs in the foreground.

  2. I love all these Viv! All so different but so moody and beautiful. I love the analogous blue tones in the first one, the contrasting layers in the second and the gorgeous frosty leaves. I’ve never managed to get a shot like this and hope to one day! These days I’m taking shots with both my iPhone and DSLR since you get such different results. Interesting…Glad to see the bog back! Happy New Year, friend.
